Anecdotal evidence from FT seems to suggest there are folks connecting through India to travel to SE Asia and even Australia. I don't have any facts and figures to back that up of course.

And even if they aren't today.... that is one of AI's clearly stated missions/goals... making DEL/BOM/BLR transit hubs.... so think of it as step 1 if you prefer.
