Here are my actual impressions of Madi Paidi - as discussed, the staff is very friendly, but the execution consistency leaves something to be desired. Still, while boutiques like this are not necessarily my cup of tea, I would consider coming back.
- About a week before check-in, my room type changed to Sapphire Premium King, and the morning of arrival, it changed to Emerald Studio Suite
- The studio suite is a good amount of space for a single person, but note the living room furniture isn’t necessarily the most comfortable
- The bed is comfortable but firm - firm mattress, covers of good thickness for BKK, plush pillows
- Shower pressure is strong - admittedly maybe too strong for the slow drain flow
- Welcome gift of Thai snacks, elephant pants, and a keychain - I picked points, so no petit fours
- Staff very warm - welcomed with a mocktail and cold water as I was very hot
- Had to ask to confirm, but no issue with 4 PM late checkout
- Free Elite cocktails (small menu) from 12-8 - the three “Thai culture” drinks I received were very strong - small plate of three canapés, including ham and cheese croissant
- Faced with undercooked pancakes at breakfast (lost my appetite biting into wet batter), but the eggs Benedict and scrambled eggs were fine - small pastry selection
- Bottom sheet had stain, so they replaced it and sent up an Apologize brownie
- One of the robes was quite stained, as well, but I didn’t mention it
