AA would prefer to route everything through CLT, IMO, because of lower operating costs. But CLT doesn’t have the capacity for more int’l flying. It doesn’t have the gates.
And let me add that PHL’s Centurion Lounge may be the smallest CL I’ve been in. CLT’s is often as crowded (aren’t they all), but PHL’s is just too small for an airport its size. Great location, but too small.
