The only question here should be : with just 4 days in Italy, why split it in 2 ? Sorry, but this is just madness. You should just spend your 4 days in just one of those 2 locations. There's so much to see and enjoy in either Rome or Venice. I know that's not what you want to hear, but I had to say it (please do not take it bad, just trying to help ).
