Looking at AI's earning table, I'm wondering why you think clocking up domestic sectors in India is a good mileage run strategy.

There are many non-earning fare classes on AI, and the maximum rate you can earn in Economy is just 50%.

I'm pretty sure the typical M+B member would find quicker (no need to first reposition to India) and cheaper (no need to first reposition to India) miles/segment runs without having to rely on AI. It just doesn't strike me as a particularly lucrative way to earn (tier) miles...
