Our suite was in good order, and did not showing any wear and tear, but they had reopened several weeks prior to our arrival and assume it was refreshed during the closure. If we were to return, we would not bother with a suite, but rather book one of the corner rooms overlooking the Lake and Villa Carlotta gardens. Was it worth the price we paid, no. Was the service polished, no. Was the food great, no. As you accurately stated "money runs through your fingers".
Glad you liked it. As I found our suite terrible I can't imagine staying in a room at Tremezzo.
