Mandarin Oriental service wise is steps above as is Peninsula
If your frame of reference is the other Marriott properties, however, this one is clearly the best in Bangkok. The fact that this hotel is in some ways almost competitive with a Peninsula(!) both says this is a good property and how overdue a refurb is of the Bangkok Peninsula.
