On my last 2 JetBlue flights the IFE wasn't working at all. I asked the FAs about it and both times they said the systems were very old, JetBlue wasn't even repairing them on the older planes, and there was nothing they could do. I asked about travel bank credit (which I've received in the past) and they both told me JetBlue stopped that practice earlier this year. I'm actually surprised they offered you anything.
Yep, the practice officially ended last summer, though it seems like JetBlue gives FAs some level of discretion because I've seen it be awarded to rowmates since
The E190s IFEs are so busted at this point that I feel like they were just giving out $25 to everyone on those flights until they changed it
