What I would call a partial fail on BA1318 to ABZ from gate A1 tonight. The flight is lightly loaded (I’d say under 30%) and boarding started very early. The person guarding the tensa queue initially directed me to the groups 1-2-3 queue until I pointed out I was group 0. She then did spring into action and told me to “go to the desk and my colleague will let you straight through”. I did so but the desk agent was attending to a wheelchair passenger and family, so I waited at the tensa barrier to the side of the desk. Then another agent opened up the auto-gates and shouted “groups 1-3” at which point those groups started boarding. Unfortunately I was trapped by the desk, so Group 0 slowed me down and I ended up being about the 15th to board. If I had kept quiet and just gone into the 1-2-3 queue I would have been about 5th on board. Moral of the story: be careful what you wish for!
