I received an upgrade as well to club room, but without benefits. Is that normally how that works?
I'm titanium and with the double upgrade I would have gotten club room as well. I wonder why I wouldn't get club benefits. Is that because I didn't book a breakfast rate in the first place?

The Kempinski just emailed me saying that due to a change (April 2024) in the GHA Rules, they no longer give executive club benefits to upgraded guests.
That is truly unfortunate. Makes the double upgrade and the status somewhat less attractive. Not sure if its just that Kempnski or maybe they make up their own rules.
I dont need an upgrade if it just means I get a slightly bigger room and thats it. Depends on the hotel of course, but well... I'm super dissappointed and will cancel the reservation, even though its cheap. Without breakfast and everything I will rather stick to the hilton, which is cheaper for the same dates (only 410€) and due to diamond status you get free breakfast and lounge. Sure the kempinski has better service, but there is no service if you dont have club benefits or breakfast
