My wife and I will be taking our first business class trip on CX in May (award tix using AA miles). The trans-Pacific flights are on 744 metal. I've seen pictures of the upper deck overhead bins in bus. class, and they look quite small. My carryon bag is 22"x14"x11", and my wife's is probably around 22"x14"x9" or so. Will our carryon bags fit in the overhead bins on the upper deck? If they don't fit, is there anywhere else on the upper deck that they can be stored? I'd rather not store them on the main deck when we are upstairs for those long flights, so we would probably get seat assignments on the lower deck if that's the case.

We haven't selected seat assignments yet, so that is the reason I inquire about this. Don't wanna have any surprises with bin sizes after we're already on the plane!
