At JFK there's no shortcuts or anything else interesting. I suppose you can walk through the Flagship First check-in area just before securty but this isn't really any quicker unless the pre-check lines are long, which they rarely are.
There aren’t a lot of AA departures that time of day so it shouldn’t be busy at all. Mostly just the daytime LHR flight, and a few trans cons. You should be fine.
