Platinum who was intending to use my welcome gift for free breakfast on a 3-night stay. At check in, I learned that there was no breakfast because the restaurant is under renovation.

If there was advance communication, I must have missed it. I was surprised that they didn’t at least provide a grab-and-go option in the foyer.

Should I have pushed at check-in for some other allowance or concession?
