I called the SV call center in Germany for this change and it was hassle free really. Positively surprised by this, no western airline would have rebooked me on another metal that easily.
Rebooking on another carrier is hit or miss. I had to hang up call again at least half a dozen time April last year when they replaced their regular flight TUN-JED with an all Y wetlease before I was transferred in J on Turkish between TUN and my final destination (BKK). Tried their KSA office, German, US, UK, Paris a few times.... In the end the Paris office had a nice lady helping out. Had done homework and suggested some options as replacement. See the stories in this thread. Having booked with an OTA will make things likely harder.
Help - Saudia downgraded flight TUN-JED
