At first glance this looks like a generous promotion, but it is quite skewed towards high-spenders. I suppose that's exactly the type of customer GHA wants, but it's no use for me. The sliding scale means it is much less generous if you do fewer stays, and finding different brands will mean a lot of travel.
"The member who makes eligible stays at the largest number of brands will receive an additional D$200,000"
So whoever can already afford to spend $600 many many times in 5 months will be rewarded with D$200k to spend on future stays.
$600 per stay, not $600 per night, but still. The rich get richer.
All I can say is good luck actually finding ways to spend that D$200k given the utterly stupid restrictions on using D$ to pay for stays.
Most ridiculous of all - and typical of GHA - there is a 6 month expiry date on the promotional D$. That's stupid. Utterly stupid.
Furthermore, they reserve the right to end the promotion early if the available prize fund is used up, so someone planning 10 stays to maximise their return may find the rug suddenly pulled.
Well that's unfortunate. Agree with the restrictions in placed, not worth it it seems.
