I think the Cathay status point expiration is quite confusing and hard to understand. I have a friend who is Cathay Green, aka no status, but the status point shows an expiration date of August 2024. How can you have an expiration date when you are already Green with 0 point?

Anyway, the question is, my friend plans to fly Cathay extensively during the summer, but won't fly enough to reach Silver (300 points) by the end of August. Will her status points expire at the end of August 2024? Or will the expiration date reset itself after the first status point showing up in her account? (Currently her status point is at 0).
