Flying soon with the parents and one of them has a foldable walker on wheels with a rest seat. I assume this won't be allowed on the plane and will be treated similar to a push buggy and just get checked at the jetbridge?

I have booked SA for the parent in question but given the variable reliability of services like this at LHR i'm actually quite interested by the self-service option CWS mentioned. Presumably we can just take the wheelchair for duration of our stay including at the lounges and then just leave it at the gate when the time comes?
