Hi, I'll be connecting through ORD with 11 hours layover. I'll have to clear security, get my back and recheck in. However, the check in counter for international flight is not going to open until 4 hrs pre-departure. There's no luggage storage at ORD, but you can usually get a day rate from the airport Hilton, which is directly connected to the airport, or perhaps from one of the many hotels within a five minute drive.
If your flights are all on one ticket, then your luggage should be checked through and you should be able to just drop it at the bag drop after customs.
