Our stay has been mostly fantastic with a few minor hiccups that were resolved promptly.
We did the full day tour with Lagoon Service, which was perfect. Highly recommended! Also rented a 6hp pontoon from La Plage for 6 hours. That was amazing. Stopped at the coral gardens, found eagle rays, hit a beautiful private cove to chill in, even while winds were crazy at the Conrad. Also did the manta ray tour through the Conrad but unfortunately saw no mantas. Not for lack of trying, We hit all three cleaning stations. Spent 40 minutes swimming at one and went to the other two twice but no luck. Such is nature. I feel like maybe the manta season is ending because the naturalist is leaving back to France on vacation tomorrow. We’re here until Thursday if you have more questions.
do you think the lagoon service excursion and your private pontoon rental
we actually reserved the pontoon boat (well 2 boats, since there are 7 of us) and wondering if we should also book the lagoon services snorkel trip. the reason we booked the pontoons and not the snorkel trip is because we have 3 kids total including a 4yo, who might not want to snorkel. the boat gives us the freedom to just head back mid way through the day. do you think theres a big overlap between the two? i know the paid excursion comes with lunch.
re: manta ray =( thats a bummer. we really wanted to see some rays and sharks. were the coral gardens as good as advertised? fish literally all around you?
thanks for taking the time to reply btw.
