A bit of a rude awakening this morning as the fire alarm went off at 0750 (better than 0550!). It didn’t appear to be a drill so threw on some clothes and started making my way down the stairs from the 16th floor along with some bleary eyed and quite possibly hungover Take That’ers from the concert the night before.

By the 10th floor we were queuing on the fire escape and not moving - not great from an evacuation perspective, hopefully they’ll learn from that and I might have a chat with the manager on the way out (and refer him to a fire engineer friend of mine).

Anyway, after a couple of minutes of going nowhere, an announcement was made that it was just a trial (bollocks it was), and everyone went back to bed with a few choice words muttered along the way.

Breakfast is still excellent, despite being very busy!
