I am OWE with Qantas and the QFF number is in the AS booking.
My question is do I get free checked baggage under the most significant carrier rules as NZ has 4 out of 5 flights, 2 of which are trans-Pacific. My NZ booking allows free checked bags, more than I would need, and my QF OWE benefits gives extra luggage on the AS flight.
If so how many bags can I check in? I imagine my family won't have more than 3 bags.
I am in the Main Cabin S fare class.
Also the fact that my seats have automatically been assigned to my booking and I can't change them does this mean I don't get free seat selection too?
Did you book the flights via NZ? You'd at the very least get the OWE baggage benefits on the AS flight, but I'm 90% sure they'll follow the NZ baggage rules.
You should get free seat selection, but it might require calling if the website isn't letting you do it.
