I think if people were expecting it, not as big issue. This flight no one (except those of us that fly other airlines) understood this is a common occurrence.

As for method, US carriers are the main exception, using the 8 week protection layer over aerosol. Most other carriers use the aerosol after pushback method. (Also some countries don't accept the non-aerosol methods)
