I am not a huge fan of BofA, BUT they make it possible to withdraw money abroad without the extra fees, if you use the ATMs of the banks memebrs of the so-called Global ATM Alliance, which include

Barclays ( everywhere in the UK)

BNP (Everywhere in France)
Deutsche Bank ( everywhere in Germany)
Westpac ( Austral and NZ)

A little research can go a long way in going to the right ATM.
