Etihad B787 Business Class (AUH-FRA)

We booked the whole trip in January and every week I got an email from Etihad about a schedule change - first flight number, then plane, then departure time moved 20 minutes later, then 5 minutes earlier, and one more I can not remember. All of these changes were great as they would allow you to rebook the flight free of charge (ie depart a day later and insert a 1 day layover in AUH). Once we got past transfer security, we showered, had a snack, and went to the gate where we waited for 20 minutes past "gate closing" time until the boarding commenced. We slept for most of the flight, the highlight was double breakfast the staff whipped up for us.

Chose the middle seats so that my partner and I are next to each other - however as we were both planning on sleeping I'd choose the window seats with equal protection from the aisle. HOWEVER the privacy is questionable as turning left and right you could see the person across the aisle.

Swiss cheese omelette

French toast, tasted amazing - just sweet enough and the fruit was fresh.

Deplaning into T2, E concourse @ FRA

The only annoyance at this flight was the person sitting across the aisle set an alarm but they were not woken up by it! Fortunately they had the phone on their tray table so I could stop it, but it was annoying and the cabin manager spoke to them after they had woken up. Luckily I was already wide awake at that time
