AFKL still only owns 20% of SK and therefore has limited impact on its overall strategy. If the remaining shareholders continue to think that being an expensive low-cost airline is the way to go, it will remain that way for now.
Btw, regarding free drinks - would that really be a problem from the legal perspective? I mean, they serve free drinks in lounges and I believe planes are regulated even less. But even if it was a problem, it would only affect domestic flights, not Scandinavian and European routes. Anyway, I'd hate to see the Mikkeller go and the only offer being the Carlsberg (or worse, Heineken, like on AFKL).
I'm also quite curious about the European network since SK has a very different strategy than AFKL at the moment (mimicking low-cost carriers, while AFKL have more of a traditional legacy carrier network).
Economy class and free alcohol? People will drink til SAS go bankrupt.
French wine + real Champagne + Danish Beer (both Carlsberg & Mikkeler) + Norwegian Eplemost I would be happy, no Heineken for me please.
