KLM reassigned my seats and won’t refund my $500
I booked four seats in economy comfort on AMS-NBO. They were the extra legroom seats in row 17 in the bulkhead. I paid approx $500 for them because I was travelling with 2 small kids.
A week before the trip, KLM reassigned the seats and put us at the back of the plane. I called and emailed but they refused to give my bulkhead seats back.
As I boarded the plane I saw the bulkhead seats in row 17 were in use and had been given to new occupants.
KLM are now refusing to refund my $500. They say the seats are never guaranteed and that they may have to be changed for operational reasons.
This seems like a scam to me! Did they charge multiple passengers for these seats?! Did I pay $500 for the ‘chance’ to win a spot in the bulkhead?
Any ideas what to do now? I want my money back!
