Minor update: As of April 15, this property is no longer offering 2 free drinks each night to Plat/Ti members in the Gin Library. Instead, the benefit is limited to 2 drinks on the first night of the stay. Additionally, the benefit is offered in the restaurant downstairs, presumably to drive more dinner business, as the restaurant seems to have a lot of open seating in the evenings. Guests that checked in prior to the changeover were grandfathered in, but that obviously will be an insignificant number in short order.

Additionally, the daily 40 MYR Food and Beverage credit can no longer be applied to In-Room dining, only to restaurant (and maybe Gin Library) charges.

Spoke with one of the managers and he said this was being done to align with brand standards in the Asian market. Not sure if this is the most accurate answer, but it's what I was told. Perhaps it is a way to differentiate the multiple brands in the Marriott universe.
