By comparison today entering T2 at around 1730 for a 1930 KLM flight, it's like a ghost town. Fasttrack was closed as there was noone in slow trak so directly through security - new scanners too. Polite and happy staff to boot.

1902/escape lounge, large, airy and also empty. Lots of decent food and drink options incl Chicken Ramen, Fish Pie, Mac Cheese, Caulilower cheese on the hot table. Gate areas are obviously spacious.

It really is like a different airport, and whilst T2 is 'new' the differences to T3 are more than that. Can't BA just upsticks to T2 and escape the Ryan Air terminal with its dismally boarding gates.....141 and 18 were bad enough but 142/3 aren't fit for purpose.
