I apologize in advance for starting a new thread but I am trying to get an answer to an upcoming flight.

For the record I am a DM/1MM with a Reserve Card traveling on an Award Ticket. I was automatically upgraded to Comfort Plus at the time of booking but am curious.....if I have an agent put me back in Main Cabin (my original fare class) then do a "Upgrade with Miles to Comfort Plus", will that be considered a W fare for booking and give me the higher upgrade priority?

Any experience with this would be appreciated.
