Thanks for the helpful comments so far, to answer some of the questions. I am sure I will be a Marriot fan also IF I had all the priviledged status and access to things. I have not been a heavy business traveller, hence my silver status at Marriot. Started this year, I am looking at non stop travelling due to new project for the next 7 months. I chose Marriot as that is what I've been to and liked in my previous trips. However, as a normal traveller coming to this location, I am shocked at the general complaints that we as a team are experiencing. We have several with gold status, several with no status, and myself with silver. But, the issues listed are experienced by all of us.
I've always stayed at 'normal' levels at Marriot (not the conceirge level), and most of the time, I've received TD service without any request. I didn't know that's status depended. Personally, I don't care having TD service or not. The services I am referring to are things like basic cleaning, putting things away in the room, which I believe every room receives.
I requested to have Concerige lounge access, most of the places are nice enough to grant me. They did serve eggs, hence my request for ketchup. I understand this is a NICE thing for them to give me, not required. However, as a regular visitor to the lounge, I thought it is ridiculous to not have ketchup on 2 separate occasions when requested. Also, I understand it's a small issue in the scheme of things, but they do all add up!
I'd rather not disclose the location yet, and like to escalate and see if they are willing to correct the issues.
