I also had some flights affected by AA changes in August. I hoped in something more substantial, but the last flight for the outbound, DFW-PSP, was just moved by 41 minutes, retaining the same flight number (so no cancellation, just reschedule)
Unfortunately I suppose this isn't enough for asking BA to change the destination to another airport in the 300 miles radius...

Curiously, for this trip, the only cancellation I got has been from BA, changing the last inbound flight to MAD to an IB service.
