Flew YUL-CDG-BRI ~2 weeks ago. Stroller gate checked planeside at YUL; didn't receive it until baggage claim in BRI

Flew VCE-CDG-YUL a few days ago. At check in were told we had to bring stroller downstairs and drop off at oversize baggage check and couldn't even use it until the gate/plane. Seems to be an AirFrance policy but boy would it have been nice to have a stroller for the long distance hike between terminals at CDG

Definitely wouldn't count on getting it planeside upon deplaning if you gate check and would recommend a pockit or yoyo or the like that you can take on board.
