I have occasionally seen the same crew on the LGW-EDI runs - some of them are very friendly and chatty.

Or so you might think - I've actually become friends with a member of BA crew, having bumped into her 3 times inflight. Firstly she was crew on my BA001 flight (*sigh*). Fantastically friendly service from Sophie (

), but no more so than any other member of the crew.
Flew down to Linate a few months later, and vaguely recognised the trolley dolley pushing the cart down the aisle. Then looked up and caught her looking at me with a quizical look on her face. Then the penny dropped for both of us! Never mind "chicken or beef" - her first question was "Excuse me Sir, Did you fly Concorde in July?"
We had a bit of a chat, and then as we started our descent, she came over, presented me with a carrier bag and said "your duty free sir". Inside were 4 bottles of champers!
Then, much to our joint amusement, she was crewing my flight back up to LHR the next night! Chatted a bit more, decided it was time to swap numbers, and now she's one of my best friends. ^
So, if you do recognise a member of crew, a friendly hello might not do any harm!
