11H/J to 40H/J Res Change...No explanation from AA.

First off, I am not a very FF. Especially on AA, perhaps this is how it came about.Back in September, we booked our roundtrip Coach Plankton Class ATL-LAX return. this weekend on Travelocity. OK, I check the itinerary this morning, not only have some of the times/flight numbers changed (in particular , our departure tomorrow A.M. was changed 20 minute early)! Yes, this was Travelocity's responsibility, not AA, I can deal with that, no biggie.

What I am not happy about is the return LAX-DFW Flight 2434, we were originally booked in Seats 11H/11J (aisle/window) the flight number has not changed but we were moved to 40HJ the last row! At first I thought they might have changed equipment to a different config* but the Coach seat chart reveals 11H, J assignable to Coach. I just got off the phone with AA, the agent I spoke with could not give me a logical explanation. Yes, my
seats were initially confirmed, 11H/J. After she researched the PNR she could not come up with an explanation. She offered to let me speak to a
Supervisor, which I did, he said the seats were changed on 18 Jan., and these seats are blocked for Airport release. He looked at the PNR history as well as the aircraft config. It is still a 763, and the only explanation he could come up with was they had to have a certain number of seats blocked for PAX with disabilities. I said if this were true, why
weren't they blocked beforehand, also seats with movable armrests show up on their charts? Also, I said, if I were going to be re-assigned seats arbitrarily, why was't I contacted in regard to alternate seating rather than being placed in the last row, non-reclining seats in Coach? All he could do was to put on note in my PNR. We both agreed it might be some sort of computer glitch, but I told him there are going to be some more unhappy campers who won't discover a re-assignment until they get to the airport. He said it was a mystery to me as well as him. He told me to check about the seats at check in, but I am not holding my breath. I feel that since I had el cheapo tickets, as well as no status, AA feels they can jack me around big-time.....(why am I not surprised)!

Is this true AA gurus?
