I have been searched for days trying to get a clear answer on this but I keep getting conflicting information!

We are flying LGW > DXB > HKT. We have a short connection in Dubai so I want to buy Duty Free alcohol in LGW to take to HKT (for just when we're in the hotels getting ready in the evening).

I'm not clear on whether we have to go back through security again when we get off the LGW>DXB flight, before we board the DXB>HKT flight. Can anyone shed any light on that?

However, I can't get a definitive answer on whether this Duty Free would get taken off me when we arrive at Dubai Airport if we do have to go back through Security?
