Sure, stuff (beyond your control) happens. If you can demonstrate that you aren't to blame, a benign resolution should be forthcoming. On the other and, I would never intentionally seek out such drama (e.g. choose unreliable flight/airline for an 11th hour exit) because it might take a while to get sorted.
And with this we are now back at square one of this discussion.
Thats why I wrote earlier on that I chose the Thursday flight over the Monday flight, because by the time the NGB-BUD flight is scheduled to depart the geographically close by daily FM/MU PVG-BUD has already departed. Now flights still have empty seats, but I guess during the upcoming summer season that might change considerably.
