Checked out the newly renovated rooms at the Crowne Plaza Birmingham City Centre

Was upgraded from a standard room to a standard room with club lounge access. The room has refurbed to a decent standard although I don't think the bathroom has been touched as I think someone remarked in an earlier review.

Received points on the morning of check in as agent proudly told me. I explained that the points weren't my choice so would like the breakfast. He didn't seem impressed. In the end I enjoyed a morning of just watching tv so didn't take the breakfast.

As also mentioned on here previously, although I was on the end of the corridor on floor 11, there was a bit of noise from doors and from outside.
