As a general rule, I HATE 10-across 777s.

HOWEVER, if you just happen to be traveling in a party of 4, like the OP appears to be, then the middle section of a 10-abreast 777 is hugely preferably to the alternative of sitting 3 + 1, with the last person having to share a block of seats with strangers. In that case, I'd choose a 10-abreast 3-4-3 777 over a 3-3-3 787 or A350. (Of course, a 2-4-2 A330 would be ideal, but there's not too many of them around these days).
