You'll have a nice slections of movies, wi-fi, two edible meals (I know you said meal service doesn't matter, but LHR catering isn't bad), and frankly for a daytime flight I think United is just fine. If you can get EconomyPlus, you will enjoy up to five extra inches of legroom. Sometimes can be as little as ~$149, which is worthwhile.
