I think it is a Garmin unit (seen it at an Enterprise counter) but to be honest I am not sure if they ussually have these on site anymore since people just use CarPlay. Also, it’s 2024 now and pretty much every car should have CarPlay. Not sure why you had issues or if you got unlucky.

I know CarPlay is not on the older 2020 (or even 2021) BMWs when BMW used to charge for CarPlay. But I am pretty sure they are very rare finds in the fleet now.
