This is not a rant, but I'm just wondering why Finnair has adopted this policy. If you are lower tier/non FF member & have not paid for advance seat selection, your seat will be randomly assigned at check-in (whether online or offline). What do you think is Finnair's reason for doing this? The elite members will already have selected their seats by this point, as well as those who chose to pay for advanced seat selection, What's the point?
