I'm certain that I'm just not seeing it, but is there a sticky thread that explains how the tiering works? I get the basics, but I generally juggle status in a few places and need to better understand the details here.

For background - starting flying Qatar last fall and currently Platinum and sitting on about 675 points (should be about 860 by end of May). Do the points just keep collecting? I'm used to FlyingBlue where they reset once you reach the next level (or programmes that go Jan-Dec for everyone), but I hit Platinum and they just kept climbing. Currently, my status expires in March 2025 (I hit Platinum in March 2024) but I don't understand when that will be extended. Only after I get to 1140 (600 that got my Platinum plus another 540 to renew)? How does the 24 month point counting thing works but I assume that it won't matter this renewal anyway (since my oldest points are only from September 2023). If I don't get enough to renew Platinum, in terms of falling to Gold, do I need enough to "renew" Gold or enough to have gotten as if I were upgrading to it?
