Lufthansa changed their regional carrier operations from Team Lufthansa to Lufthansa Regional.

While Team Lufthansa lasted, all airlines still operated on their own risk and Lufthansa basically codeshared with them on these flights.

With the new Lufthansa Regional, if I remember correctly was established some time last year, Eurowings, Augsburg Airways, LH Cityline and Contactair ( I hope I didnt forget one ) gave up their own flying. Besides a few charter flights which are done outside the Lufthansa Regional brand, all flights are operated on behalf of Lufthansa and on Lufthansa's risk. They dont carry the flightnumber of the regional airline anymore. These regional airlines just fly their aircraft for a fixed amount of money, while LH receives all the revenue.

This is basically the system a lot of US carriers use with their Regional, Express carriers.

So EW flights are really LH flights operated by EW, so you will get miles for them.
