You might be correct but I'm pretty sure I could have achieved a $50,000 spend over the past 12 months had I had an AMEX in conjunction with my ANZ card, meaning I would have hit Elite before posting this thread. So actually it seems I could potentially hit Elite with the flying I've done in the past 12 months had I realised it was achievable and got a second CC.
