Or have the miles use for the redemption booking already expired? If so there is no miles to be returned to you either.
Plus, 300$ no show fee, if miles are really gone, likely will outweigh any possible tax refunds or so and then it may be best to stay silent and hope SIA won't come to collect the 300$.
