Problem was simple as I've mentioned in this thread. I made a payment of over ₹4,000 (excl. fuel surcharges) therefore by policy I should have got ERs and I had been getting ERs till then. It was a small amount - so I wasn't concerned - I sent them a quick email saying that "hey this cashback is not correct, please take it back and give me the ERs". They sent me the below emails followed up by phone calls saying that this was their policy. I shared their website policy with them... and they said they were right and the website and I was wrong. I was so cheesed off by their outright lying that I escalated it to PNO and I had a good mind to follow it up with a RBI complaint. PNO gave me the same BS. After it was finally escalated to a PNO supervisor did he concede "yes our policy is to give you reward points and we'll correct this"!

And the thing is that this isn't a one off with one person. Everyone who banks with Axis faces this.
