Be careful if you have any pre-existing medical conditions as only very minor things are covered (for example nosebleeds are covered, but high blood pressure is not)
And it doesn't cover over 70s.
The last thread on travel insurance here seemed to show that a lot of regular contributors who have the Amex Platinum also have their own seperate travel insurance.
