The closet tube station to the Churchill is Marble Arch. That stop is ~0.2 miles from the hotel (~5 min walk) which is exactly the same distance that Google Maps show from the Hyatt Blackfriars to the Blackfriars tube stop.
Though the Blackfriars tube stop might be slightly closer, I'm not sure its enough to sway ones decision (certainly not mine, the properties are both effectively equidistant from their respective tube stops)
Personally, I'd go with the Churchill, but we just generally prefer that area for the things we tend to do when in London.

Marble arch station has ZERO elevators and lots of stairs from street level to ticket barriers..
Blackfriars station does not have this problem, as they have escalators the whole way up (or down).
