It's all well and good to "plan accordingly" but often "life happens" (illness, surgeries, etc) and travel plans have to be changed. Not a huge loss as we will use the nights for a couple staycations.
Philemer that was my issue sometimes "life happens" I have also reserved it for a staycation just prior to its expiration. No loss it shall be used at least. Happy travels.
