I read this note on my AA.com account regarding an upcoming flight:
If you're an AAdvantageŽ status member or AAdvantageŽ credit cardholder, your bag benefit and boarding group applies if higher based on status. (Benefits may not apply on partner airlines.)
I booked this economy flight not expecting a free checked bag. I do have an
AAdvantage credit card. I don't understand the above quote. Does that mean I'd get a free checked bag? What does, "if higher based on status?" mean?
I don't know what my "status" is but I'm sure it's not much.
